Monthly Meetings - the Core of Member Activities

Monthly meetings are held at Seamen’s Lodge at Pioneer Park in Nevada City the first Friday of the month and usually have a theme such as:

Fasching/Carnival
Cinco de Mayo
Maifest
The Annual Picnic
Western Night
German-American Day
Octoberfest
Strauss Night
The Christmas Dinner

This is not just a club that holds meetings and talks endlessly – meetings include delicious food, maybe some singing, possibly some entertainment, and always dancing with live music from Walter Grob on the accordion, the Hannebrink Trio, the Fruit Jar Pickers from Rough and Ready, the Joe Smiell Band, etc. Refreshments and drinks from the bar are available, and all meetings are held in English.
